🚿 Seder Taharot (Purifications)

Seder Taharot is the longest and most complex order, dealing with the intricate laws of ritual purity and impurity (Tumah and Taharah), which largely governed access to the Temple and consecrated food. It meticulously details the many sources of impurity—such as contact with a corpse (Oholot) or specific bodily fluxes (Niddah, Zavim)—and the various means of achieving ritual purity, particularly through the proper use of the ritual bath (Mikvaot). While most of these laws became less practically relevant after the Temple's destruction, this order represents a profound conceptual exploration of spiritual defilement and sanctification.
