🌾 Seder Zera'im (Seeds)

Seder Zera'im primarily addresses the laws related to agriculture in the Land of Israel, emphasizing the religious duties tied to farming and produce. This order details the obligations to separate portions of the harvest—such as tithes (Ma'aserot) for the Levites and Priests, and leaving corners (Peah) for the poor—and sets forth the laws governing the Sabbatical Year (Shevi'it), when the land must lie fallow. Surprisingly, its first tractate is Berakhot, which focuses on blessings and prayer, reflecting the recognition that daily sustenance and the produce of the earth are gifts from God that require acknowledgment.
